Easter Island Moai Monolithic Head Statue, Small Version
 
A unique striking diminutive version of the colossal ancient monolithic head sculptures of the Polynesian Easter Island. The small version to scale of the iconic Moai head is hand carved in the round from Basalt rock. It was gifted to an antiquities collector as a momentos in 1935 at the Ahu Tongariki Island  - although the time of its creation is not known.  It is a striking example of the world famous statues of  Easter Island.
 
The figure is in original condition and has a great surface throughout. From the estate of a deceased Florida Antiquarian.
