Magnificent Monumental Japanese Bas Relief Carving on Natural Wood Slab

Ornamental designs of landscapes and foliage are characteristics of Japanese carvings. The result, of this monumental relief on a natural shaped wood slab, is a most exciting singular masterpiece and praised as a cultural treasure. The finely polished surface has a lacquer coating to ensure a high shine and beautiful luster.
This piece was said to have been exhibited at the Panama - Pacific International Exposition San Francisco 1915.
