Pair of Antique Chinese Wood Hand Painted Rice Barrels. 
 
A nearly matching pair of Chinese late Qing Dynasty period hand painted wood rice barrels. The octagon wooden containers are delicately hand painted with Chinese landscapes and flower decor. Both barrels have removable lids. Wire ropes at the top and bottom strengthen the construction. The surface is aged with natural distressing and shows signs of wear and age (scuffs and scratches). The rare and colorful rice barrels are interesting accents in any interior.
