Regency Style Chinoiserie Red Lacquered Armchair by Maitland Smith
A  mid-century red japanned open armchair. Wood framed, the arms and legs are decorated with gilt line accents and the back splat with a fine figurative black and gilded vignette. The seat is in strong canework the legs are conjoined with stretchers.. The red lacquer chinoiserie armchair is splendidly imagined and created by Maitland Smith. 
Condition is good. Back splat lacquer shows a touch up crack. Caning is very good. Wear commensurate with age and use.
